Saddam Hussein still smokes Cuban Cigar Iraq, Politics, 7/11/2005 The toppled Iraqi President Saddam Hussein smokes in his American detention center Cuban cigars which his family is very careful to provide regularly via the International Committee of the Red Cross. A source close to the family of the toppled Iraqi President said "whenever (Saddam Hussein) sends a message to his family he asks for a cigar from Havana and he is obsessed with smoking it." He added that Raghad, the elder daughter for Saddam Hussein, is careful to send the cigar which is handed over to Saddam by the ICRC in his prison in a base near Iraq's International airport. |
